Arborist/Climber
Responsible to the Manager, the arborist/climber's duties include pruning and removing trees; supervising team members; maintaining machines, tools and equipment and; tending to clients. Is experienced with the following types of equipment - Chainsaws;
Blower;
Hedger;
Hand tools;
Drive vehicles;
Mulcher; Rigging equipment;
Climbing equipment;
Garden tools and Pesticide spray bottle. Qualifications gained for this role include - Certificate II Arboriculture;
Roadside Traffic;
Powerline safety;
Senior first aid;
Safe use of a wood chipper;
Safe use of a chainsaw;
Aerial rescue;
Pesticide;
EWP; Truck and car licence.
Groundperson
Responsible to the Team Leader and Manager, the groundperson's duties include - Warm up and grease vehicles in the morning;
Oil and re-fuel chainsaws;
Pack vehicles with required equipment from run sheet;
Direct driver to job;
Set up safety hats and signs onsite;
Support and assist climber with climbing equipment;
Stack branches;
Feed mulcher;
Maintain vehicles;
Oil and grease stump grinder;
Clean saws and equipment; Keep vehicles tidy and organised. Is experienced with the following types of equipment -
Chainsaws;
Blower;
Hedger;
Hand tools;
Drive vehicles;
Mulcher; Rigging equipment;
Climbing equipment;
Garden tools and Pesticide spray bottle.
